Christopher Burk

A resident of Columbus, Christopher Burk studied at Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) and at the Myers School of Art at the University of Akron. He has exhibited extensively, including shows at the Viridian and Billis Galleries (NYC), the EVOKE Gallery (Santa Fe), Gallery 19 (Chicago), ART Hamptons, Vermont Studio Center, Ohio Art League, CCAD and the Cultural Arts Center. Burk won Best Local Artist in 2014 and 2015 from Columbus Underground, and is the recipient of an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council for 2015, 2017 and 2019. Burk’s work is part of the permanent collection of the Greater Columbus Convention Center and a piece of his was included in the 2016 temporary mural series in the Short North in collaboration with New York Times bestselling author Larry Smith. In 2018, Burk took best of show, second place at the Ohio State Fair Art Show, 2018, and in 2019 was awarded a Visual Arts Fellowship from the Greater Columbus Art Council and Columbus Museum of Art as well as a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant.
