This slate of awardees represents seven artistic disciplines and includes three first-time applicants. Through the Project Support program, support is provided to a variety of diverse art experiences for our community, including festivals such as Asian Festival (May 2018), Summer Jam West in the Hilltop neighborhood (July 14) and Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (Sept. 27-30). Red Herring Productions, MadLab, Evolution Theatre and Vaud-Villities Productions will each produce a full season of theatrical programming in the coming year. Funding also supports the Thiossane Institute’s creation and presentation of a full-scale production of an African folklore told through music and dance (May 17-19).

There are two remaining deadlines for Project Support grants in 2018: May 1 and September 1.

Support for artists is provided through Resource grants and Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson Professional Development & Research grants. These grant programs give artists in the community the opportunity to enhance their skills and create new art that helps drive the vibrancy of the arts in Columbus and Franklin County.

Applications are accepted monthly and are funded on a first-come, first-served basis, until program funds are exhausted. All programs are open and accepting applications for the Apr. 2 deadline.
