Greater Columbus Arts Council Awards Third Cycle Project Support Grants

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sixteen grants totaling $102,926 were approved by the Greater Columbus Arts Council Board of Trustees for 2018 Project Support: Cycle 3 grants. Project Support grants provide funding for a broad range of arts and cultural projects, events and programs. The Arts Council awarded Project Support: Cycle 3 grants to the following organizations and projects:

This slate of awardees represents nine artistic disciplines and includes seven first-time applicants. Through the Project Support program, support is provided to a variety of diverse art experiences for our community, including the family-friendly New Year’s Eve festival First Night (Dec. 31) and the annual OhioDance Festival and Conference (April 2019). Available Light Theatre, The Magpie Consort, Gallery Players at the Jewish Community Center and Global Gallery will each present a season of programming and events in 2018-19. Funding also supports the following activities that are free and open to the public: Columbus Modern COMO Dance’s performance of a Martha Graham dance (Nov. 30), Ohio Poetry Association’s National Poetry Month readings and a special performance, “Musica y Palabra,” presented by Rodolfo Vazquez with the Ohio Hispanic Fine Arts Association.

There are no additional Project Support deadlines in 2018.
