Columbus, Ohio – The Greater Columbus Arts Council today announced the launch of its new monthly e-newsletter Front Row Center, an in-depth publication that will feature articles about local and national arts issues, profiles of area creative professionals, previews of upcoming events and the inside scoop on what’s happening in the arts in Columbus.

Starting in January, the monthly Front Row Center will replace Portfolio,GCAC’s current quarterly e-newsletter. The redesign, new name and move to a monthly format will allow GCAC to offer a more in-depth look at central Ohio’s creative economy.

Our goal is to make Front Row Center something that will appeal not only to arts professionals and educators, but to those out there who simply want to keep up with the latest happenings in the arts and culture,” said Emily Swartzlander, GCAC marketing and communications director. “We wantFront Row Center to put a face on our arts and culture community.”

Each issue of Front Row Center will be tailored to address a particular arts-related topic, including the impact of the arts on the economy; individual artists; artist co-ops and guilds; arts advocacy; arts education and more.
